This just makes me laugh and laugh and laugh....in a mommy-laugh sorta way!
Tomorrow night is the BIG NIGHT...High School Musical: The Concert with my six-year old.
Tonight, we watched "Jump In" again on the Disney Channel, and he decided to stand on his sturdy toy box and dance and sing. I, of course, praised his efforts (while giggling inside), and he said, "I'm practicing for tomorrow 'cuz they said they'll play some of these songs, too!"
ALL night he's been talking about the concert. I've never seen him so excited! His excitement isn't jumping around and bouncing off the walls...it's talking, talking, talking...making plans, etc. (Sorta like me...he's *my* son after all, and a little mini-me in the looks department, too!)
He wants to make a sign (um, no...we're in the nosebleeds and short people aka children don't need a sign in front of them...lol), and he even made a "to-do" list for tomorrow, which he learned from his mommy, I guess. On the list:
Go to bed (scratch off as of now) Get ready for school Have breakfast Go to school Come home from school Have a snack Eat dinner Go to the concert
Ok, everyone gimme a collective: Awwwwwwww!

How funny. I'd say I would get a kick out of seeing him enjoy it.

How funny. I'd say I would get a kick out of seeing him enjoy it. Oh, that's EXACTLY how I feel. I can't wait to see his face when they come on stage. I'm a BIT worried though because he has a tendency to hate loud crowds/noises. I've taken him to Disney on Ice a couple times, and the first few minutes are always horrendous for him until he gets used to the sound. So, tomorrow, I have to go to a sporting goods store and get him earplugs...which he asked for! lol

yeah, that's cute! my oldest is old enough that she goes to 'regular' concerts with me - though i'm quite certain she'd LOVE to go to HSM or any of the disney concerts!
my little one is only three but is well on her way to begging to go to concerts ... santa brought a toy guitar and mic w/stand for christmas and it's one of her fave toys! heheh (nana is not too pleased that we play around and she pretends to be a "rock star" ... teehee!)
have fun tonite! ;D

My sympathies Carina, although as someone already mentioned it could be the Wiggles, Seasame Street, etc.
My kids listen to the sound track for High School Musical constantly. I find myself singing the songs sometimes. Try to enjoy the night out.

@di...HA! My tolerance level for music is the "American Bandstand" variety: "It's got a good beat, and I can dance to it...I give it a 9." Ooooh...I think my age is showing...BIGTIME!

And I can also relate.... That is all my girls will watch. My youngest daughter just luv's High School Musical also. And they were all jazzed about the new Jump In show. Ohhh and then I had to also do the count down thingy when The Cheeta Girls new show was on. Uggg.. LOL
I can just imagine the excitement and I am wondering how your son made it thru a FULL day of school knowing he was going to a concert. He must of been so excited all day long.

My hubs was off work today, and he took the kids to school (let me sleep in...WONDERFUL!). I asked him our son's reaction, and it was all he could talk about this morning. Also, he's got the relevant items checked off on his to-do list!
