Ok, so this morning I was looking at a Facebook page of someone I know and went to school with and his recent post was that '80s music sucked - to which I bristled at and said that there was lots of good music that came out in the '80s (except after '87 - DD not included, naturally). So, yeah, here's a poll....vote and give your opinion - no wrong or right answer, just a chance to pontificate.
Personally, for me, there was lots of good music that came out between '79 - '87 and on both sides of the Atlantic. I could list a roster of bands and it would be like a who's who of '80s music - big names familiar to all of us as I'd hazard to say that the average age of most of us here is probably between 43-47. Now, bear in mind that the group(s) didn't have to have their start in the '80s...they could have started in the '70s and then gained popularity in the '80s or they could have been popular in the '70s and stayed strong into the '80s. I do feel that the music got better due to better production which benefit from advances in music technology.
