I recently purchased what I thought was Rio (US lp Version 1) It turns out that it is Version 3, but the stickers on the record have the song times for version 1! I have the US lp version 3 that has the correct labels. Anyone know anything about the mislabeled records? Are they common? Also, does anyone know where I could get the actual US Version 1 record? Thanks.

No. The content of the actual record is US lp version 3. The side 1 and side 2 sticker lists the song times as that of US lp version 1.

Thanks. Not easy! I do know that the first pressing was issued on the Harvest label and it has the matrix ST-1-12211-Z 1 # 1 in the run-out-groove. It has also been seen with the matrix ST-1-12211 Z 4. - The second pressing came also on the Harvest label and it has the same vinyl labels as the first pressing. Means: this one is mislabeled! As the second US pressing already plays the Kershenbaum remixed tracks on Side A (with the unique HLTW Kershenbaum album mix). It came with a blue sticker on the jacket noting its difference. It has the matrix number ST-1-12211-Z 13-REI #1. Means that the first pressing possibly has matrix information up to 12...!? I don't know, just a guess! - The third pressing finally came on the Capitol label! The labels on the vinyl differs now (different tracking times) and the inner sleeve came with the additional info that it was remixed by David Kershenbaum. It has the matrix number ST-1-12211 Z 16 #2. Well, mine has ST-1-12211-Z 18 # 5, so I guess it has from 16 upwards. I have never seen a third pressing on the Harvest label! Well, that of course doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. I would suggest you look out for a pressing on Harvest and mainly watch out for the 'right' matrix information! Hope that helps!

- The third pressing finally came on the Capitol label! *EDIT* I am sorry, this statement of mine (above) was not right! I am at home right now and looked at my researches again. The third US preesing was seemingly issued on Harvest *AND* on Capitol. My fault. So that makes it even harder to find what you want. I guess you'll have to ask a seller for the matrix-information in the run-out-groove
