As some of you know, I host a weekly radio show (All 80s Rewind) on my university's radio station The Galaxy Radio. I was sent some things from Blackheart Records (Joan Jett's label) to giveaway. For the next 3 weeks, I am giving away her latest CD "Unvarnished" and her 2 CD set of Greatest Hits. My brother is a HUGE Joan Jett/Lita Ford/The Runaways fan and gave the GH a resounding 2 thumbs up. For the last giveaway, I have a Joan Jett t-shirt, a Blackheart Records totebag, 6 CDs from her catalog and the 2 CDs mentioned above. My show is on from 2-4pm CST on Tuesdays on The Galaxy Radio (thegalaxyradio.com). If you listen and hear a Joan Jett song, be the first to tell me the title of the song either by the show's Twitter account (@all80srewind) or tell me via the show's FB page (All 80s Rewind). I'm super excited about this! I don't know what other kinds of music everyone likes but I thought I'd post this up here if anyone might be interested. Otherwise, I play 80s music, from the popular to the obscure. This is the first time I've been sent things from a record company. I'm hoping to get more from other artists...including DD.

Nice! Not a Jet fam but nice to get stuff from the record company.
At the time Pop Trash came out i called the record company in Germany, saying i run this website and wanting to promote DD in the Benelux. When i asked if they could provide me some promo stuff this nice lady said: "Sure! How much and what do you need?". Now that question i did not even think about i would get.... They sent me some promo copies of the album (you know the card sleeve one) and some promo copies of SENM cd single. Later on, i was in good contact with the Edel offices in Holland and they sent me 5 or 10, can't remember anymore, copies of the cd single of Playing with Uranium which i gave away through my site. Nice memories.
Good luck on your show!

Thanks, Poptrash!
I'm thinking of calling Warner Bros. AND writing Magus... I'd love to get on their mailing list for promos! I mainly do 80s acts (but some 70s and some 90s as there is "wiggle room" for every decade) but going to start playing "now" songs by them. Can't wait to play Pressure Off, but also new songs by 80s artists. Even some new Chic stuff. New Culture Club tune is amazing!
