I wanted to pass this on since it has helped me so much in the past and want to share it with the good people here. Today, Saturday 1/20/07, QVC is offering a TSV of Suze Orman's Platinum FICO kit. The price is only good today and you can go on auto-delivery and lock in the price for the next 4 years (get one a year).
This is a fabulous tool (it's a CD-ROM) that makes understanding FICO scores and credit reports VERY easy, esp. to someone who does not understand computers well. You just pop it in your computer, put it your personal info, choose a credit reporting agency and in a few minutes you will have your FICO score and credit report. The program will explain it all to you and if there is an error, you can click a button and out prints a letter to send. I did this in 2004 and found an error on my credit report. I sent this letter in and within 8 weeks it was corrected. Sooo easy.
I don't expect anyone to answer this post and many may not care or have already figured out their financial life. That's cool. I just wanted to let you know in case it might help someone. It worked for me and I am just happy to pass along.

OR you could go online to any of the three (or all of them) credit reporting agencies and get a free copy of your credit report. You're entitled to one free report a year from each agenciy.

From what I hear, those credit reports won't give you FICO scores. Regardless, no one will give you coaching like this disc does. That was the invaluable part to me.
Off-topic -- I find it cool that the ads above change to whatever the subject of the post is. I just noticed this.
