I've given the new Metric album Pagans in Vegas about ten days to impress me, and it hasn't happened yet. It hurts when a band I like does this - just flounders in mediocrity. (I know, many of you dislike Paper Gods - post that in the appropriate thread.)
Anyone else give the new Metric a listen and can give me a fresh, new perspective?

I'll get it ASAP and see how it hits me. I had a feeling this one might be a "let down" for me simply because Synthetica might have been the best album I'd heard in about five years at the time it came out (really blew me away...like or love nearly every song on it, and did so from the first listen). Tough act to follow. On a side note, at first glance, I thought your title said "Metric = Meth Trick" and I thought "uh-oh, has Emily Haines been getting smacked out again?

I actually love Grow Up and Blow Away, Fantasies, and Synthetica. And Emily and I have never shared a rock, so I wouldn't know...
