Tragic. He was a talented guy and, imo, had one of the better voices in rock.

Saddened by this. STP was the soundtrack of my life in those wonderful teenage years. Their music (like DD) is invariably attached to the memory of my Dad who we lost in 2007. Hope Scott is rocking out with him in heaven now.

Very sad but unfortunately not surprised. I liked him a lot and think he was very talented.

Definitely not shocked or surprised, just sad. I've been a huge Weiland/STP fan since 1994. I'm glad I was able to see him perform live with STP 4 times and 1 with Velvet Revolver. They were awesome shows. I wish this hadn't of happened - felt like he still had a lot more music to offer. At least the music he has given the world will live on.
