Has anyone heard of the growing scene called Retrowave/Synthwave? Bands such as Gunship, Timecop, Lazerhawk and Le Matos (there are many more) playing mostly synth based 80s inspired melodic poprock. If you liked the soundtrack to Drive or Turbokid you should check it out, not a million miles away from DD's early 80s sound.

I fell like even some of the music from Kung Fury fits in with this as well
