Agree - - - Patriots vs. Bears all over again.
*ahem* however I do see a different outcome this time around.
GO PATS!!!!!!!
Ooooooooooh boy - another turnover just happened.
Bears - 32 Saints - 14
With 11 minutes to go.
Ouch!

The Saints are still playing smartly, but time is against them.

Yup, the Bears are definitely heading to a warmer climate.
Still the Saints have nothing to hang their heads about, that they even made the NFC Championship is HUGE for them this year. I'm glad we don't play them next year, they're only going to get better.

BeeJoo. I was rooting for the Pats in '85 because my son's godmother's cousin (got that!) was dating (and eventually married and divorced) the Pats' second string kicker. I have a feeling that I will be rooting for the losing team this time, too. I love the Bears, but I'm also a realist.

To add insult to injury, the Saints just got clobbered by a team with a quarterback named Rex and a coach named Lovie.
Ouch!

Though I'm glad to be spared any more ESPN/Lifetime histrionic co-productions about the Saints and their march to the Super Bowl, I'm crestfallen when I think of all the footage of the 1985 Bears we're going to have to suffer through between now and the Super Bowl. Listening to meatheads like Chris Berman or Stuart Scott wax poetic about Mike Singletary's eyes is going to make for a long two weeks.

ETA @stupe...I wasn't a Chicagoan during the '85 Superbowl bid, and I was rooting for the Pats for reasons stated above. But, if I hear ONE MORE TIME, even my hubs, comparing the Bears to the '85 Bears, I'M GONNA PUKE!

Okay, I never quite understood the whole "Gatorade bath" thing. Hmmm, our coach just lead us too the Super Bowl, so lets dump some sticky freezing cold liquid all over him & give him double pneumonia!

If I were a coach, I'd be looking over my shoulder the second I knew the game was in the bag.
