Would America like to join a union of countries involving Canada and Mexico that would implement freedom of movement of people within those countries? Highly doubt it and then your president has the cheek to tell us to stay. Of course we are your voice in the eu that's why you wanted us to stay. I would DEFINITELY vote for a Mexico/USA/Canada EU style agreement and government where the USA only has 1/3 of the power and decision making abilities! At the very least it would force the US to be more liberal, get in line with the rest of the world in terms of nationalized health care, have actual gun laws in place, AND make the freedom of movement not be as terrible as it currently is for citizens of the 3 nations. I recently immigrated from Canada to the US and it was hell. Sign me up for this RIGHT NOW!!! The problem though is Mexico isn't as advanced as the USA or Canada. Not to mention the language barrier. We have a serious problem with illegal immigration and it's hurting the economy in many ways. Now if we were talking the US and Canada that would be interesting. Speaking of healthcare I was originally opposed to the Affordable Care Act (known as Obamacare) not because I am opposed to health care but because of the costs. The funny thing is it lowered my medical fees and covered more than ever before. For the last few years I had been seriously ill with psoriatic arthritis and Erythrodermic psoriasis to the point I had to temporarily rely on disability and because of this I can get my fees lowered and even free which has allowed me to return to work (and I'm actually going back to school to switch fields completely). As for guns, I support background checks but also the freedom to own guns since that is our right in the Bill Of Rights (Second Amendment). There are some ways I would like to see the USA more liberal (bigotry for example since hate is a problem)but other parts not so much.

As a German I must say that I am very disappointed. You guys let everyone down shamelessly for the dumbest and most selfish reasons (I'm only talking to Leave voters). At the same time, I salute you for kicking the EU Officials' asses. At least, it'll force them to reconsider certain aspects. Still I hold you responsible for being outright selfish and not very well informed which is a shame really.
There is one thing I noticed when I was in London during the Olympics. I was watching the BBC for a while and all you could see was British athletes. Not a single picture of any other nation. This puzzled me as I am used to learning about everyone and everything courtesy of German TV. Maybe if you stopped taking yourselves too seriously, and say, accept Polish workers in the UK for what they are - diligent, busy and proud - it would make your lives much happier.
PS: Boom!

I think UK is better off leaving EU. EU is a disaster. UK might become like Switzerland which it well insulated from EU and overall peaceful (with little terrorism) and prosperous. Make UK great again! (Sarcastic grin)

Make UK great again! (Sarcastic grin) Give this man a beer, give him a round of applause, a hug or whatever niceties you can think of. Great short post haha. The EU is full of out of touch unelected has been politicians who are now worried about their pension pot as the UK's money (3rd biggest income to eu out of the 28 nations) will now be gone. Their attitude to our Prime Minister has been shockingly rude and they're not being diplomatic over the subject. Punish us? For what? For deciding to leave a club at our own free will by the rules they created with article 50? I would not expect Britain to be bowed down to but us and the EU really need to work together to create a deal that is acceptable for both sides because no matter where we stand at the end of the day we need them and they need us!

Thanks, razor fox. I don't come here too often lately but this post grabbed my eyes because I'm traveling to London soon. The best thing is for EU to change by making the deal more attractive to other European nations by restricting immigrants from middle eastern/African countries, in my opinion. Many of them are so-called economic migrants anyway (according to my German friends) or trying to get free meals and roof over their heads. And it shouldn't be Europe's responsibility to take care their kids and families since reasonably educated people can make educated choices weather or not to make kids to begin with. They shouldn't make babies in insecure, war stricken environments. It is very irresponsible to have average of 5 kids per household for example while they can't provide for them. It is pity to see Europe losing its Christian identity to Islam. Sorry if I sound like Trump

Sorry if I sound like Trump You're welcome and I don't come here much myself even tho I consider myself a pretty rock solid fan of Duran. I just need a break from general forum stuff that to be honest I'm not interested in for example "favourite single cover", it's not for me but when a new albums being created or about to drop or even Reportage talk then I'm all over the place much to everyones delight. Enjoy London, plenty to do but not cheap! And again a well said post, valid point. Don't blame anyone from Syria taking refuge in Europe, but it's not a one way ticket and like you said too many posing as refugees after a free meal ticket and that unfortunately breeds resentment which sometimes hits a genuine refugee in the face. Let's not mention the terrorists that slip thru either or we'd be here forever. But thank Merkel for opening her big hairy German armpits saying come come, that was a recipe for disaster which has proven so. God hope Europe survives but the EU, well that dictatorship that hasn't had its accounts signed off by auditors for God knows how long can take a running jump.
