Very sad news. He did some amazing work on some of my most favourite records.
Some Like It Hot intro - doesn't get more iconic or impressive than that.

Yeah, very true indeed JC sure knew how to mix sounds together to make them iconic/impressive and unfortunately what is certain is that they will never record music in a similar manner ever again. Lastly, even though JC never worked on S&TRT, I've always thought the intro to The Reflex "LP version" is closely related to the intro to "Some Like It Hot" One's got Roger's stamp on it & the other Tony's

Yeah, very true indeedĀ JC sure knew how to mix sounds together to make them iconic/impressive and unfortunately what is certain is that they will never record music in a similar manner ever again.Ā Lastly, even though JC never worked on S&TRT, I've always thought the intro to The Reflex "LP version" is closely related to the intro to "Some Like It Hot"Ā One's got Roger's stamp on it & the other Tony'sĀ I might be wrong, didn't Roger play percussion on Some Like It Hot. I know Tony played drums, but I remember hearing Roger was flown to NYC to overdub some drumfills. They were joking, saying it was the most expensive overdub session back in the day. I had no idea who Jason was, very sad to read

The same octabans that were used in the DD track "The Wildboys" and they wanted that sound.
Roger joked that a 2 week stay at the most expensive hotel in NY to hit the drums about 10 times was the most expensive drum work ever! Love the 80's!
