Does anyone remember watching this on Cinemax indeed called The Video Concert on commercials and posters?

8^O I hate you a little right now if you have that. I had to go to a friend's house to watch it with her. I will never forget that concert. I do wish they would do a PROPER release for everyone and not just as the bonus disc on a limited CD release. I mean, it seems like the perfect thing to do for celebrating an anniversary. Hell, next year it will have its own 35th anniversary in its own right.

Assuming it arrives, that jacket's mine now - as it's one of the images from the listing that ended last week. 8^O I hate you a little right now if you have that. Hell, next year it will have its own 35th anniversary in its own right. i know it's been discussed on here before, but the released DVD version isn't the same as the original Cinemax version - so yeah, it'd be good to have an official version of it...
...though some kind of box set with all of the filmed shows would be even better of course.
[Edit]
As noted a couple of posts down, i'd misremembered which way round it was - & it's the final version we're missing.
My apologies for any confusion.

I only ever had the tv broadcast recorded on a Beta tape back in the day. I don't remember any BIG changes from that version to the DVD version. Arena of course was a big change with all the extra production/scenes and Reflex/Wild Boys.

This post from the last time it was discussed covers some/all(?) of the differences - duranduranboard.proboards.com/post/377682/thread - obviously the biggest being that the original had Rio instead of The Reflex.

Yeah, makes no sense as there is not an officially released "finished version" DVD or VHS that omits Rio?? What am I missing?

Sorry, i've clearly gone mad - or rather was misremembering & then didn't read the whole of the legacy thread. it's the Cinemax version on the official DVD - & it's the final version (the MTV/iTV one), without Rio but with The Reflex... (plus updated titling/effects, etc) ...that we're missing a DVD of. Of course The Reflex should be the standard video version, but still would be good to have a decent official release. & probably - as that's got the track list for the final version.
