 Series One starts September 8 on BBCAmerica. ! I love the whole cast, except Owen and Gwen  Edit: I made an error the release date of the box set in America is January 8th 2008, I mistook it for the same day it shows on television as the release date...ooops |

Ooohh I love Torchwood!! It has only been on afew weeks here but I am loving it!! ;D
It is a spin off sort of from Dr Who with Captain Jack, they hunt aliens and deal with alien related stuff - good fun!! ;D

I heard recently that it will be broadcast in Canada starting in October. Which is weird, as the CBC co-produced the series - why make us wait a whole year after it was first broadcast in the UK?
Anyway, it looks like it might be very good. I enjoyed the Doctor Who episodes with Captain Jack...

I think Torchwood has a bunch of storyline problems which I'm hoping will get resolved in the second series begins. It has a lot of potential, but at the moment it doesn't come close to being equal or better than Doctor Who. I like the show for several reasons, but script not withstanding.

I love the whole cast, except Owen and Gwen How did I miss this thread? Thanks for the info that the DVD box set comes out at the same time. I am so buying it! I have already seen the entire first series of Torchwood, and I think it's pretty terrific (though not as good as Doctor Who). It's a little bit X-Files, a little bit sci-fi and a little bit fantasy...and a whole lotta John Barrowman (the guy crouching in the pic). It's even worth a second watch on BBC America for me! It makes me want to vacation in Wales. ;D Ooh, and they say the series is getting a bit of a revamping for the second season which is now filming!  |
