I think the old intro to Night Boat is quite psychedelic, and reminds me of 70s head music. The speed of this recording feels too slow, at this speed it feels extra spaced out. I never looked at the song in that light before, it was always a creepy song, with the perfect video!

This?
"Duran Duran exclusive demo listening session and dinner
Cost £450
Hear the Duran Duran demos and have dinner, too. Ideal for four."
very fantastic. Although the articles says it's only Save A Prayer and The Chauffeur that would be played. Do you recall which other tracks?

We got to hear lots from the first two albums and some of the b-sides - Planet Earth, Girls on film, Sound of thunder, Last Chance on the stairway, the chauffeur, and some unreleased stuff that I can't recall the names of.

I'm not sure that Nick wasn't actually having a dig at Andy tbh. I've watched it several times and I still can't decide. He sounds sincere and had to say it twice to get his thought out... by "economical" I think he was admiring how Andy's guitar fit perfectly in the mix without overwhelming anyone else's parts. Simon says it best by calling it "essential guitar"

Sounds amazing! Maybe some of the unreleased material is mentioned by John below? www.duranduran.com/jtvault/JTscrapbook1.2.html

We heard 'Secret Success', but didn't get to hear Amy A Go Go, as the tape couldn't be found. From what I can remember the guitar riff from Secret Success became the riff used in Girls on Film just before the choruses. Most of the unreleased tracks got recycled into album tracks.

Thinking of scene in Sing Blue Silver where Simon gets cross when someone "turns them self up" in the mix at rehearsal, resulting in a horrible noise.
