Ok now, so there's all sorts of restrictions on what liquids and the amount of liquids we can carry on the airplane.
But what's to stop someone from taking his/her empty drink glass (obtained from the attendent when he/she asked for water) to the toilet, filing it up via the faucet, mixing the deadly cocktail and
Kaboom!
just curious, since I've not been on a plane since the new restrictions.

Even worse is the fact that they don't seem to be enforced often enough. If they let you pass with items that are absurdly banned, what else might they be missing? How's that for your night terrors?

well...since i can carry 4 ounces and my two travel partners can carry 4 ounces each, we can mix the deadly cocktail right in our seats.
it's silly, really.

iami, that's NOT a stupid question at all. Good one, in fact. Last time I flew (the week after Christmas) I forgot to put my liquids in a plastic bag on my flight out and security didn't question it. On the return, however, security was much more diligent and asked that all such items be placed in a ziploc bag and examined separately. Seems security at different airports have different standards.

yeah, when we flew out of Denver there was a table and trash can just full of liquids. They were making everyone dump anything over the allowed amount. I don't think the same thing was evident at BWI.
