If anybody else here digs vintage postcards like I do, here's a cool site I came across that has tons of them: www.cardcow.com/You can search or browse by categories. You can send them as ecards; they also make neat computer wallpaper! When you click on a card you have the option to view the back as well as the front, and sometimes it's fascinating to read what people wrote to each other when these cards were sent! Check it out! ;D ETA: Here's one I found from my hometown!

A friend and I have scoured the internet (mostly eBay) for vintage postcards of places we live and places we love. I'm off to check this site now - Thanks!

I actually did find a few interesting postcards from both the town in which I live and other very cool places.
Thanks again!

Well that's cool...they've got a card of the view from my front door (so it can't be that old!): Northwest Arm, Halifax, Nova Scotia That's a fun site. I collect vintage postcards as well. My collection got a huge boost a few years ago when for Christmas, my parents gave me a large lot of old cards they'd found at an auction. Most of them date from 1905-1920. Very few are location/tourist cards though - almost all of them are greetings. All the holidays are represented - Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day, Paddy's Day, Easter, Halloween - plus I've got quite a few very Victorian cards with sentimental illustrations of flowers, animals, children, etc. All fascinating, but the backs of them are even more intriguing. The messages, the script, the stamps, the postmarks...I love all that stuff.

Glad you guys liked it! ;D I have a small collection of vintage postcards - it's a fun hobby and relatively cheap, usually the cards are only $1 - $5 each. And they're easy to store and transport! I like looking at the old hotel room postcards - things sure have changed for hotels!! ETA: Palomino, sounds like you have a very cool collection!!! How neat that your parents got those cards for you!!

I love this - thanks! Found some cards for Cypress Gardens in Florida. Grew up near there. Cheesy, but I love it. I always felt bad for the girls they would have out there, sitting out in the heat in those heavy southern dresses. The Aquamaids!
