on the arcadia set one of the mixes of SAY THE WORD has a skip in it...i am not sure which one and i don't have my copy to hand...
at least emi has an excuse for that as they didn't release that track. it was on atlantic and EMI would have just sourced the material back from them. or bought a record on ebay and used a rip of that ;-)
This isn't an excuse for me. It was the Extended Instrumental I think and it had a lengthy skip right at the end. Cut and paste was the only method needed to fix it (just delete the skip out!), there was no loss of audio just a rpt.
It's as if the engineer rushed it so much that he didn't even play the track back.
I have a question regarding this odd skip/loop in the Extended Instrumental Mix of Say The Word.
I only own the 7" single, so only having this 12" Instrumental Mix on the 2010 Re. of the album, the 1995 Heaven's Eyes bootleg and other bootlegs sourced from this. Also downloaded the mixes from the brilliant site owned by DjPaulT.
Now the problem I have: the Heaven's Eyes bootleg plays this mix w/o the skip, where the 2010 Re. has it. I finally listened to the mixes coming from the 12", download from: --- burningtheground.net/2019/03/arcadia-say-the-word-theme-from-playing-for-keeps-us-12-promo/ --- last weekend, and this transfer also has this odd skip/loop. Is it possible that every 12" has this 'issue' (and the mix on Heaven's Eyes was corrected by the guys who did the bootleg)?
Does anyone, who owns the actual 12", please has the desire to check his vinyl copy for me!? It is around the 5:10 mark in the mix. I really love to get this clarified!
