I agree, it's definitely one of the highlights of the Notorious album. But forget about Duran ever playing album tracks off anything other than the latest record they're currently promoting ever again. (Unless you want to throw them a lazy million dollars for a private gig, I'm sure they might be up for some deep album cuts if you're prepared to pony up )

Like this mix :)Interesting with the drums and Steve’s playing. I think Rogers’s more basic and rawer sound would suit the track better. Actually imagine Tony Thompson playing, the song would be a real beast! No disrespect to Steve, he’s awesome and maybe it’s Nile’s smooth sounding production. The chorus never quite worked for me, but lookIng back would have made a stomping single!

This should have been the second single off the album. It screams “hit” from the opening seconds and would have the changed the commercial fortunes of the album (as well as their career as a new trio).
Notorious is highly regarded by us hardcore fans, but it may have approached Rio-level recognition had they released Hold Me and perhaps even Matter of Feeling as singles.

Lol..why am i hearing Simon's voice echoing with 2 sounds?? That’s how they played it live during the SB tour, I think it was played at all 100 shows. The echo is deliberate, it’s also on the record. Never a big fan of HM so they should not play it live in the current line up. I think I prefer Proposition.

Yikes..I think I would love to hear this song with the current lineup and redone...a definite question to Nick or JT..ill ask for next chat...

Get their ok? I sometimes wonder if that's why the setlist changes so little e.g. minimize the "expenses" LOL

Wouldn't Duran have paid Andy or Warren already one lump sum? So every time Hltw or Ow played live.. checks come out to Andy or Warren? I doubt this..
