they were f___ing brilliant. neil finn, my personal music god, was on fire. the band was tight and the banter was flowing. they took requests from the audience, played a few of my favorite tunes and the crowd was loving it. the foxwoods crowd was a little odd. a lot of high rollers or frequent guests who had no clue who the band was but many of them were getting into it.
i need to upload some of the videos.
if they are coming to your area, RUN don't walk to see them. you will not be disappointed. luckily, i will be seeing them again on wednesday.
forgot to add, neil messed up the lyrics to a couple of songs and missed his cue on another. and the fans were OK with that...

I'm so glad you had a fab time! I loved your last statement. Its not the end of the world if your favorite band messes up. Did you happen to ask if they were coming my way anytime soon?  I had CH jamming in my ears all day while I was waiting for my plane at JFK, man I love the new album. |

someone in the audience told them to come to florida and they said, "we should." they made a comment about how they are only visiting blue states this tour. i think they may come back after the aussie and european leg because they aren't playing too many dates here. too bad you aren't still in town. i have an extra ticket for wednesday. i am loving the new album the more i listen to it. so many really melodious tunes. they played a number of tunes from the new album: "pour le monde," "say that again," "don't stop now," "people are like suns," "transit lounge," "nobody wants to," "she called up," "silent house" and "heaven that i'm making." |

I thought Liam was playing in the band?
Liam was on breakfast tv here (NZ) a few days ago promoting/performing his solo material.

Liam has been playing in the band.
I know he is also opening the Toronto show (I can't wait!!!) but I don't know about the American shows.

liam has been ill so he didn't play with the band the past two nights. elroy was on stage playing acoustic guitar but the poor kid has to go back to school this week...

they made a comment about how they are only visiting blue states this tour. But, but they are playing in red states - TN, GA & TX (Austin) -in Sept.  Looking forward to seeing them at Bumbershoot in Sept.! |
