My uncle met his wife through Match.Com. He said that he enjoyed the few dates he had through the site before being matched with his wife, never a "bad" date.

okay....so, I'm getting all these matches trouble is I'm a 42 year old that feels and looks like a 32 year old and all these matches are well into their 50's! Am I shallow?  ? Plus their interests don't seem the same as mine..... |

Yeah, that was my problem. I got a lot of the 12 years older than me, which in theory doesn't bother me because my grandparents and parents have an age difference like this. But let's be honest, those older guys for the most part looked like my father or grandfather. And since we know Simon still looks good for his age, if I am going to date an older man he better look good. Shallow? Maybe, but you have to be attracted to the person you love.
And I got a lot of men who had different values than I did so of course I don't want to date them. Some people have luck there, but I didn't.

Yeah, I can't see tell some of the ones sent my way that I'm off to see Duran or SBS or anything like that. Not when they looked like they would be asleep by 9.

It's so ironic. Though John Taylor is 21 years and a day older than me, I think he's hot as hell. Most men his age look like a stereotypical "dad," or like Heather B. on the first season of "Real World" said, a "high school principal." Old, bland, and generic.
But DD lives different lifestyles than the average middle-aged man. DD has to maintain their appearance for the general public, while average Joes don't.
But there's gotta be a nice guy close to your age who shares your interests out there who you find attractive! Save the old fogeys for the old fogettes!

But I think knowing it's possible to be hot and older, I want someone who doesn't remind me of my father when I see their photo. I started the process with several older matches who didn't have that grandfather look and then something along the way didn't click. But also seeing my grandmother and mother widows at an earlier than average age, I don't know if I want someone older. |
