I'm only gonna say one thing and then bow out of the convo.
Most high level athelets use There's a very small percentage who don't. They have schedules of when they go on and off, they have people who figure out what works best for when they need it. Some get caught like Bonds, et al, some don't.
People pay money to see home runs, not singles, not doubles. They pay to see touch downs, they pay to see world records broken. And truth of the matter is that there's more methamphetimines in baseball than steriods. And you got more bikers and gymnasts who use steriods than anything else.
Until they stop paying these athletes astronomical sums of money, they will continue to do the drugs to keep themselves at a certain level.
My problem is, because of who I know, I know too damn much about who does what in the world of sports. Strips away any good feelings about any of the high level sports period.
The guys in the front office knows who's on and who's not and as long as its not in the media they'll let it slide. Don't hate the player, hate the game, thats all I'm sayin.

I can totally see what you're saying, stupe, but along BOS's line of argument, when nearly *everyone* is doing it (it's the cynical part of me that's thinking that everyone is, btw), the playing field is uneven. Back when Hank Aaron was playing, I would suspect that very few used 'performance enhancers.' I don't follow baseball (football is *becoming* my game), so this was more a general statement on pro sports than Barry Bonds specifically.

Hank used amphetamines...which are now also on baseball's banned list He admitted to using them once in 1968 in his autobiography ("greenies," if I'm not mistaken). Is there more info out there than that?
