I just walked out the front door and watch the shuttle launch. Pretty cool stuff! ... something I missed while in the UK. We Floridians are a tad spoiled!   |

yea I saw the launch through the NASA link, it was incredible, @ first I thought the shuttle was going a different direction that freaked me out, but it was the cam in a wierd sideways angle.

Florida is nice, but I couldn't take the humidity and gigantic bugs. Very cool though!!

Hubby and I were outside Pei Wei Asian Diner when the shuttle the lifted off. It doesn't matter how many lift offs I've seen, it's still spectacular.

I was surprised how much I missed seeing it go off while living in the UK. Before that I had only missed one and I was in DC at the Smithsonian and it was the first launch since the Challenger disaster. Talk about seeing it in a different way. I realized how lucky I am to be able to have it in my back yard after that.
I'm not a big space buff but it's still cool!

Did you all know one of the astronaughts, Barbara Morgan,is a teacher from McCall, Idaho?
My only hope is she can accomplish what Christa Mc Caulliff (from The Challenger) set out to do.
