I am listening to Part 1 right now. There is a nice flow on the show between music and interviews. Very well done.

She has a very soothing voice too..nice listen while you are in bed with headphones and eyes closed.... The only difference with the BBC broadcast and Pandora/Sirius is that BBC is only playing snipets of the songs which is understandable due to time constraints--the later has every song in their entirety and another 10 other songs not included with the 40! For example, BBC 40 skips New Religion and Hold Back the Rain... Here are the songs on Pandora..they had Buried in the Sand..Pop Trash...Breathe After Breathe etc.....that I think are not covered on BBC 40..I know Sirius has a monthly charge--but Pandora is free here in the States unless you opt for premium features--is it free and accessible to the folks across the pond in UK? Just curious as anyone from UK can download unless there is a charge? www.pandora.com/playlist/PL:562950049265059:1756780791

^ I was just saying the audio seemed crisper live. BBC radio 2 uses a bitrate of 112-128 kbps - thats less than CD quality. My OBS software resampled the audio at 193 kbps, so this process made the sound a bit bassier and less toppy. When I listened to the show the first time, I couldnt be bothered to register free on the BBC, so I used: www.radio-uk.co.uk/bbc-radio-2I dont know if thats any help to overseas fans but no registration required. Will be listening tonight for the free sneak preview. They wont just release the full song online so everyone can pirate it. Thats why radio shows often talk over the start and the ending. edit: I've now taken down my link to the first show; which is still available to listen to on the BBC Radio 2 website, free after registration. My link was just meant to be a party time bomb for fans, and not a permanent 'link source'. Copyright remains with the BBC.

I am not so sure about that.
I remember a site was releasing Duran songs from the paper gods album. I remember this as when the tracks posted - i went on here and created poll threads for each track that was released online.
I remembered thinking - wow, the music industry has changed. Duran are getting most of their revenue now from touring as all these tracks just posted online for free.

Every artist releases their singles on YT nowadays eventually, either with a full video or with lyric video. And there’s Spotify. So you can pirate all you want but nobody is doing that anymore…

Not long to go now. I think it will be a new song in its entirety. Why go to the trouble of hyping it so much? I’m looking forward to it!
