Coxon is on all tracks. He recorded guitars for the entire album. Great news! I don't know anything about Graham Coxon or Blur, but the fact that Duran Duran have used one rock guitarist for the entire album fills me with hope. Hopefully he had some input on both the songwriting/composition and the final product.
The Moroder tracks will probably be stinky, but the rest of the album could be a winner

so what do we hope for? what do we expect? personally, i hope "invisible" is an uptempo pop track - something like pressure off - including some rockin' guitar :-) but maybe it's a melancholic ballad... invisible... inspired by the whole covid tragedy...

Not really groundbreaking news but NR confirmed there are a couple of EDM tracks (Moroder), a ballad and a couple of "Rockier" numbers. Feels confident the album is very cohesive with the 3 producers. The Anthology is being worked on but unlikely it will be out this year. Loads of material to go through and another album's worth from the Astronaut sessions alone. Conscious that only the gems are released. Interesting they revisit the Astronaut sessions. They should have released a second reunion album in early 2005 with BC as lead single. They had it all on their desk! Well, we know what songs didn't make the cut of Astronaut, so it'll be interesting to see what other songs are out there that we had no knowledge of. Naturally, one can't help to wonder what they'll do for Liberty given the unreleased songs from that era.

There's some nice elements in it, but it's about one minute too long, and V1 sort of crashes into the chorus and the change makes little harmonic sense. V2 by contrast has a neat bridge that I really like. It's understandable why they considered it for the album, but also understandable why they dropped it.

Maybe it needed work, but that didn’t stop the band from playing it on tour circa 2004-05, and lending it to that FIFA video. Hopefully they “fix” it for the anthology without f***ing it up!!!
