I realized I was on a bad date when I had to let him win at Fooze ball. He did the puffy lip when I was winning . I suck a fooze ball too. The night went on from there to be the same senario. I was noticing I was being way too obliging also. Saying things like . " I totally love that band too " So I guess if you morph into a yes lady right away you shouldnt pursue the next date.

Interesting about the look at youself comment when you're set up. A friend of mine had a blind date and the guy was very socially awkward from what I heard. My friend is not socially awkward, she's a little crazy, but knows how to handle herself with people. So I think sometimes others may think you are a good match because you will be nice and help them out of their shell.
My last blind years ago was more he's 35, you're 35, you should date.
Which quite frankly is what eharmony did with me because I'm not sure how I was matched up with most the people they sent my way. But that's probably for another thread.

The "look at how you project yourself to others" bulletpoint stood out to me too. The first blind date I was set up on was with the "skinny-pathetic-nerd-with-no-butt" who was weird, freaky, socially retarded, and creepy.
When I finally broke it off with him and confronted the friend who set us up, he said that the reason why he thought we'd hit it off is because we were both unpopular in high school. I thought, "Whoa! Is that what you think of me?" but in the same token it made me realize that I project that "I'm a loser...no one likes me" vibe that I'm trying my damnedest to shed.
And that's probably why only ugly, old, thuggish and pathetic men with no dreams or ambitions keep approaching me, because I give off that vibe. I want to nip that in the bud!

Ahhh, when you broaden it that way, it works for my friend and her date. She has issues in a different way than the guy.

Bad date- cute guy takes me to a movie, but we get lost getting to the mall where he chose to go....
then we end up seeing 'Dirty Dancing', which SUCKED!!!! and then I took him home and he said 'that's it?'
I learned that cute guys aren't always good dates....

I realized I was on a bad date when #1 he made me chip in for a round of drinks I was no part of with people I didn't know and #2 ate the flowers off the table. Don't ask... I remember they were white carnations though. Jackass.
1st and last time.
