St. Vincent would be good. She’s hugely talented and is more alternative than the others mentioned.

That would be a good collaboration and does have the alt rock cred that Lykke Li has too...also I have heard Simon praise St.V on the podcast...another great one that he has praised on the podcast is PJ Harvey. Unfortunately it sounds like or Gaga or such. Please not Gwen though.

I would love for the duet to be with Kylie but if I am reading Skinburn’s news tidbits correctly the next single will be the Giorgio Moroder produced song and the referenced massive duet seems to involve a different song. We know that Mark Ronson produced two songs on the album one of which involves Lykke Li. Would the other song he produced also be a duet or collaboration? Anything is possible I guess. My money is on Gwen Stefani since she was announced as a special guest for the Hyde Park concert that was postponed to next summer.

I think Stefani was in the same league as Gaga, in the U.S. at one point at least. That one would make the most sense. And I would actually enjoy hearing it. But it’s got to be someone connected to Ronson. Please let it be Dua Lipa and not Miley Cyrus! Well not in Europe. She did that Don’t speak song and the Talk Talk cover. A one hit wonder I would say. Nowhere near GaGa.

If it’s not Gaga, it’s not like Gaga.

That's nine Top 10 placings in the Netherlands, plus a load that peaked a bit lower.

I also see a lof of featurings on songs of artists I do not know either. These were all in the early 00s so I fail to see why DD would want to duet with her at this moment. She has apparently been more successful in the Netherlands than Duran. Duran only had 4 top 10 hits, all between 84-86.

Gwen is no where near a one hit wonder but she’s hardly the pop force she used to be. Her last singles haven’t made a dent and she’s now more known for her celeb status than any actual song. From a marketing standpoint of getting airplay she wouldn’t be my first choice for a collab. Gaga makes much more sense and they could make something amazing , but I would even go with someone newer.
