was it worth seeing? yeah, i would say so. i have mixed feelings about it. on one hand, it's interesting the way they updated the movie (based on the book "invasion of the body snatchers" by jack finney and the previous "invasion of..." films) but the film jumps from scene to scene too quickly and there are weird scenes that show what the characters are going to do in the future, while they are still talking about what needs to be done. i LOVED the 1979 film with donald sutherland. that was terrifying.
daniel craig has a strange floppy haircut in the movie that kept distracting me and he isn't in it all that much and nicole kidman looks and acts properly paranoid. i think it has to do with her pale visage and her soft, breathy voice.
the ending...well i shouldn't give it away but i wanted to pull my hair out when i saw it.
the crowd was going crazy. they seemed to like it but i get the sense they had never seen the previous films nor had any idea about the base material. they were also shouting back during the entire movie and it made the film much less enjoyable for me.
it's not tracking as well as it should be considering the actors in the film. i think it will make about $12 million this weekend...

hmm ... i was thinking i'd like to see this too. at the very least i like daniel craig and nicole kidman has done some good stuff and is quite easy on the eye ...

I think I'll see it.
I went to an extra call for this last year, but unfortunately wasn't picked. They filmed in parts of DC and Baltimore for it.
