I think the numbers in this article are 100% accurate. They got all the details of his music career correct.
'He formed the band Arcadia with close buddies Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, and singer-songwriter Stephen Duffy, and subsequently as the main singer.'

Just putting this comment here because I don't want to start another one on this topic (money's a boring topic).
I'm listening to please please tell me now, the duran duran story, and I just started chapter 9. This one started out discussing how they were broke because they hadn't toured in a while (following Liberty). The writer says this about their state economically as individuals:
"Simon was so broke that his credit cards were often declined; John sold his house in Paris; nick was 2.5m pounds in debt to his bank, but bought a new Picasso painting anyway." A previous quote stated, regarding Liberty: "it had cost a fortune, and been a beeaatch to make, according to Simon."
Of course, that was a while ago. But I also remember reading, in Andy's book, that during the reunion era, when they were first sorting things out, Simon had paid everyone's chunk of the funds in order to secure what they needed. Andy said that they HAD to tour right away because, essentially, they were all cash poor, and they needed to pay him back, and have their own funds to contribute.
Anyway, just kind of interesting.

They always had $$$ if at this stage you are not invested with stocks , property , art ( like Nick ) etc.. and never had a financial nest egg than shame on you .. you all forget they have done a ton of private gigs .. Robert Downey paid them a million or more plus awhile ago for his 50th Bday.. trust me the Duran entity may have been strapped for cash but they have always been millionaires…when they were young different story….money 💰 comes and goes it’s how you invest that money and I am sure they are invested in many things!! I think that thing about being broke before Reunion is bull! They were still packing them on tour with Warren…John’s wife was always a shrewd business woman …and Yasmin was a top paid model for years…

Are you saying the author is factually inaccurate? I'm sharing what his book said, as well as, Andy's book.
