They always had $$$ if at this stage you are not invested with stocks , property , art ( like Nick ) etc.. and never had a financial nest egg than shame on you .. you all forget they have done a ton of private gigs .. Robert Downey paid them a million or more plus a few years ago for his Bday.. trust me the Duran entity may have been strapped for check but they have always been millionairesâŚwhen they were young different storyâŚ.money đ° comes and goes itâs how you invest that money and I am sure they are invested in many things!! I think that thing about being broke before Reunion is bull! They were still packing them on tour with WarrenâŚJohnâs wife was always a shrewd business woman ⌠[ They werenât even selling out 4,000 seat venues here in the US by the late 90âsâŚjust sayinâ⌠They came twice to DTE with Warren and both times the venue was packed like close to 13 k to 15k plus..mostly SOLD OUT in my neck of the woods .. I met everyone backstage. 1st time meeting Simon, Nick, and Warren and lawn and seating area were packed!!maybe each area of the region was different.. even when they played Europe and Japan I saw lots of full seats on you tubeâŚboth times I think I went deaf with the audience screaming and Warrenâs guitar đ¸.. Plus how many private gigs are they going to tell you they did ? DD charge a minimum of 500k to book .. trust me they werenât hurting for cash not to mention how much merchandise they sell every time I go see them .. 3 or 4 lines deep of fans buying T-shirtâs and programs and like not cheap programs! $50 or more a pop !

Thatâs awesome that they turned out those crowds where you are. I saw DD at Roseland Ballroom in NYC in â97 and â01, and I recall a good crowd on the lower level but not sure if the upper level was sold out. Roseland capacity is around 3,000. Odd that they did not book MSG in those years (capacity closer to 19k) unless they didnât think they could draw enough.
I saw them at the Oakdale theater (capacity between 4K -5k) in my home town in Connecticut in 2000 and both RCM warm up shows in 2007. Place was half full at best for all three.
Reunion era was certainly better drawing - MSG show in 2005 seemed very crowded, even if not sold outâŚdouble bill with Chic in 2016 in Mansfield, MA was not sold out, but definitely crowded and a venue way larger than the one they played in Boston for the 1999 and 2000 shows I was atâŚ
That Wembley show was Dec 1998? I have a bootleg of it, I think it was the only show they played that year (between Medazzaland and Let it Flow tours). Definitely packed but I always figured it was due to it being a one-off. Anyway, thatâs great they drew so well near youâŚI always felt a little bad at the shows I was at from that era, thinking they deserved a bigger crowd!

No idea where they have got some of their figures from. Sade with $80, Ian Anderson with $100m, Robert Palmer $165m, Eric Clapton $450m and Bob Dylan has $500m??
I VERY much doubt those figures are correct.

I VERY much doubt those figures are correct. They are spot on for Clapton and Dylan--Sade not so much. These are always undervalued anyway as it is almost always more than what they claim.... I really don't understand how Clapton could have that much. He's iconic but that is very different from selling albums and a huge amount of tickets.
Same with Dylan, iconic and proflic maybe, but sold tickets and albums worth $500m..if DD's record sales are questionable I'd say Dylan's is equally questionable. You're talking about niche music, not mainstream.
Where has Celebrity Net Worth got their figures from??

Other business ventures-real estate, stocks bonds, art etc..who knows? Bottom line they are all rich! Dylan wrote a ton of songs for other artists..I am sure he and Clapton and others are getting yearly residuals, royalties etc... Money makes money... Dylan currently earns about $15 million per year from his song catalog royalty stream as per Celebrity Net Worth. Dylan has also signed blockbuster deals with Sony and Universal Music for his music catalog making hundreds of millions of dollars. I know DD has not signed off on their catalogues yet...

Sounds very likely for both Dylan and Clapton. Look, their music isn't for everyone, but there's no denying that they're both legendary artists who've been going for 60 years. They've been very influential too.
