Another great band is getting back together!
From the bands official website :http://www.wearejames.com/
James are back. Still fresh as a daisy. Ready to be the bride not the bridesmaid. With a back catalogue to die for and a bunch of new songs the Laid six will be playing live for the first time in six years."

I remember way back in the day when Morrissey championed them. I bought their cassette in the mid-80's, and it was virtually unlistenable.
They got much better, and now I adore some of their singles.
I've got a good James story about the time they were partly responsible for getting me drunk, but I don't have the time to write it up at the moment.

I nearly crashed the car from hyperventilating when I heard this on the radio this morning....!
I so f___ing love James, I just can't tell you... they were probably the best concert I've ever been to (only got to see them once, and it not only lived up to, but exceeded, the 9 year wait)
and a new album too - squeeee!

I actually saw James open for Duran Duran on their last Wedding Album tour date in the US way back in January on 1994.... they were awesome! I remember being bummed they didn't do "Born of Frustration" though....

James? No way! That is fantastic news!
mkuhn...James opened for Duran? That had to be a great show! I saw Terrence Trent D'Arby open for them on that tour. It was my very first Duran show ever, so a tone-deaf schmuck could've performed prior to DD and I wouldn't have cared. heh.

It was the second leg of the 'Wedding Album' tour in N. America where James opened; I saw them at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Some of their stuff is pretty good. They hadn't been split up for very long, had they?

"Oh sit down, oh sit down, oh sit down, sit down next to me!"
I love James-got my nose pierced at a festival right before they took the stage, and I aslo saw them open for Duran Duran that year at Radio City Music Hall.
