This is a nice forum, primarily full of fans who have endured the ups and downs that go with following the career arc of Duran Duran. Most if not all of us are just happy our favourite band is still making good music, and that keeps expectations grounded and the mood generally upbeat and positive.
Happy birthday to our place for our band.

Thanks for setting this up Mark. I've been here since Day 1...and remember that lost feeling everyone had when DD.com shut down the forum. Lots of the regulars from yesteryear are gone...but the passion is still here. Which makes me think...did I ever see a Future Past review from Stuporfly? I may have to do a search. From his Facebook page: As has been my custom since I was thirteen, I walked into a record store this afternoon to buy the new Duran Duran album. Future Past more than delivers on the promise of the band’s collaborators this time around - Graham Coxon, Giorgio Moroder, Tove Lo, Erol Alkan, CHAI, Mark Ronson, Mike Garson…But it’s also very much a Duran Duran album, and I think it’s time people stop being surprised by how good they still are. It might be the shimmering glow of new music, but on first blush, album fifteen might be one of their very best.

Lots of the regulars from yesteryear are gone...but the passion is still here. Yeah, seems to be the last forum standing...Lizard King used to be a powerhouse about 20 years ago...then seemed to be on life-support last time I looked....wonder what happened to all THOSE fans.... I used to be on LK, but I migrated to here when LK started dying.

Happy 15 years, soon it will be 30, then 40!
I joined in 2013, although I was lurking around fan forums since 1997.
I like the forum because I feel I can get my thoughts across and be heard by the community, which isnt true of other media platforms, for example facebook; where comments seem to disappear among a train of five word afterthoughts, in a sea of nothingness, and are quickly lost and forgotten.
