Actually it was debuted on the Ultra, Chrome, Latex & Steel Tour in '97. I remember hearing it being sound checked before we got let in at the Philly show. And of course, I remember them playing it later that night.
This the tour I heard it on too at the Tampa, FL show. I really enjoyed it and have always been disappointed that it never got an official studio recorded release. How different is the version from 98-99 to the version from 97 tour? No difference, the same. When I compare it to the 1997 and 1998 bootlegs.

Was it the same 1997 version when they played it in their Halloween show last year?
Edit: Never mind I found it. Not like the 1997 version. Pretty close to the original version.

I pre-ordered a bunch of stuff from the leaked site before it was turned off. I looked and read it very carefully and it all seemed legitimate. The alterations to their original song titles is clever and much better than just tacking “2023” on the end. Thrilled that Warren is a part of it. I believe Secret October 31st will be his arrangement from the 1998-1999 Greatest and Latest tour which would fit perfectly on this album. And hopefully he’ll be on Love Voudou as well. This is about that version of Secret Oktober for the DD wiki: An extended, drastically altered version of the song was debuted live on the 1998 Latest and Greatest Tour, taking a much softer and ambient sound. The song ran for over six minutes and featured a new verse not present on the original B-side version. This was the first time the song had ever been performed live. Actually it was debuted on the Ultra, Chrome, Latex & Steel Tour in '97. I remember hearing it being sound checked before we got let in at the Philly show. And of course, I remember them playing it later that night.
I appreciate the correction, and am still PISSED that I missed that tour! At least I got the tour program

It's great to see all these rumours are getting out of the box. They posted a trailer yesterday, which shows the concept art and the intro to one of the new songs (perhaps). http://instagram.com/p/CwNnL8VNOVu With all these new names and AI things messing up the news (yes, in the future, AI will be printing and reprinting news 'stories' like sampling and mixing, until the whole thing is based on here-say.) it is hard to get a clear picture. I actually can't believe Warren is on the album, but Andy did say he recorded 9 songs with them in Ibiza. If two of those are New Moon and Shadows, then it means Andy played on 7 tracks on the album. If Nile Rodgers played on one of them, that means 5 songs have no credit for lead guitar. So it's not impossible. At least the title of the album is now confirmed, so that's something. I think the track lists leaked 2 days ago was correct. And if so, maybe the info from that article was also correct? At any rate, releasing a 13 track album seems unlucky. I'm waiting for the 16 track extended edition, which I know will come. I know, it's the Osborne Effect, but I'm not buying the same songs twice. Not sure if you're being facetious, but I'll state the obvious: it's a Halloween album, so all things spooky. I actually think it's a nice detail that they probably all decided on right at the start!

The tour kinda had a pall cast over it when Michael Hutchence did what he did. Simon was pretty down in the dumps and you can hear it in the Pleasure Island recording. It's really too bad there isn't a soundboard quality recording from earlier on in that tour. It might have been more peppy. And of course most of those Medazza songs were never played live again.

I think that '97 tour (in Sunrise, Florida) might have been the last time I saw them live. At the time I didn't know JT had left the band, and I don't think they even really mentioned his absence. I guess I must have assumed he was out sick or something. But I have to say I remember that they sounded great. In fact, at the time I felt that it was their best performance that I had ever been to up to that point. So at least for me, it WAS their best tour.
My only complaint is that they did not play Midnight Sun.

these are not official releases and probably just getting its info from the songwriting credits. Trust me, Warren had no part in this. Please provide your source. So this isn't true: "Guest artists include producer, guitarist and composer Nile Rodgers, Victoria De Angelis of Måneskin and former band members Andy Taylor and Warren Cuccurullo".

The site that was taken from had signed items and was copyrighted as the Duran Duran Music Store. Katy has confirmed the site is legit but only switched it on too soon. Where has Katy confirmed this was a legit site? She hasn't posted anything about it anywhere. Just because one person says oh Katy said this doesn't make it true.

💯 I think they even played So Long Suicide in Boston & CT and I missed those shows and only saw them in NY. I have a bootleg of the CT one, but it’s a bad audience recording.
