I'm actually glad of this as I had ordered the "grey" one before I knew of the "yellow" one. I preferred the yellow design though.
So I'm pleased the "grey" one is actually yellow. 😆
Ironically the best colour for Hallowe'en is, of course, black. Imagine a limited edition "Hallowe'en Black" vinyl...

Well, tbh, putting two colored vinyls out with descriptions of "galaxy grey" and "smog" wasn't the best idea. They should have done vinyls that couldn't have been mixed up - like an "orange & black" and the "red & white" Spotify vinyl.

I like the ghost vinyl the best. The brown looks more like a tree stump. The red blob? I mean, what? They could have had anything, but why a red blob?? No I don't think it is an image of Mars. As for the album, I've been thinking they might 'reimagine' their DD songs in this same style as the DM song. So hard dirty rock, but also maybe rather slower and dancey. As this is meant to be a themed album, I can only guess at this point that if all the songs sound half as good as DM, we might be in for something great? At the same time, I know standards never live up to the hype train, especially as it's DD we are talking about here, but I am more excited than ever. Got an email today from Townsend, which seems like they have all the merch in stock, and maybe they are the official distributor?? Anyway, I pre-ordered it from there today. Nothing fancy, I haven't used a turn table for 20 years, so I wont be buying them. duranduran.tmstor.es/ |

Well, I’m pleased that I secured my signed print with what is now confirmed as the ‘smog’ vinyl. Which I couldn’t care what it is to be honest. I’ve now also ordered the galaxy edition from Townsend as it looks cooler. Not bothering with CD or cassette as they wouldn’t get played. CD’s are dying folks! 😉 Would have been polite for Andy and Warren to have signed it too! Especially when there’s no image of the band on the cover.
Also went for a T shirt.

I got very poorly, unable to work and took a break from here. It’s a story not to be aired here. Important thing is that I am alive. I’m now concentrating on collecting album vinyl 1st pressings from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. I have a gigantic collection of T’s from many artists and T shirts are all I wear. So it suits me. I recently ordered the Soft Cell box set of Erotic Cabaret and there’s 2 shirts included. One is the album cover and the other says in big letters ‘Look, it’s so huge!’ I love it! I doubt my partner will want to walk alongside me with me wearing it. So I do sympathise with you 😉😂 |
