Could all of the posts that aren't Reportage *UPDATES* be moved to another thread? EPIC! Is there anything more interesting to talk about these days than what's in this thread?

Could all of the posts that aren't Reportage *UPDATES* be moved to another thread? why ? people are discussing reportage, the artists who created it and the way of it, meaning how it resulted in not being released at the time and indeed all those reasons I see all these reasons being related to the thread topic eg it’s non release this far Everyone is free to read or not read a post if they want to in my experience a threat topic eg in this case it being a DD created LP, is likely to include those individuals who created it and the situation such as it is

None of us are “just” a fan. management would be fiscally irresponsible (i.e. stupid) to not capitalize on this being the OG five piece. I have no doubt that it will be promoted as such. Yes, none of us would read these threads if we were just a fan. As for as DD management, dream on. We all saw what they did to promote DM. Zero. Same with FP. The band made one appearance on the Graham Norton show, and a few online interviews, to promote it. They were top of the vinyl charts for a week, but then they didn't bother to print off any more. I can't actually recall any posters or hype for the band in recent times. I'm not familiar with DD's current deal, obviously, but traditionally what you're talking about aren't functions of band management. A label's publicity and promotions departments handle this stuff. Management would be involved in managing day to day stuff, negotiating contracts, working with promotors, etc.

Their music is published by their own label Tape Modern and they have a distribution deal with BMG. Magus Entertainment / Wendy Laister is their management and in charge of publicity. At the time of Astronaut and the recording of Reportage they were signed to Epic Records. Since the label refused Reportage it probably belongs to the band.

It's funny, when I was young and watched Sing Blue Silver, I thought the manager was saying something like "Stol-kin-eye" vodka. It wasn't til years later that I heard the name "Stolichnaya" and thought, "oh, is that what he was saying?"

Maybe he was serious, or perhaps it was a wind-up haha.
I agree and don't think they have a current traditional record deal and I think it's correct that BMG is a distribution deal.
I imagine either the band either owns the master or has purchased/licensed back Reportage recordings from Sony.
