What does Spy Matthews say? His opinion is the only one that matters Spy Matthews says nothing until the band gets its Stolichnya Vodka and a pair of Ladies Panties to wear I'll just try these on for size š¤£š¤£š¤£

The funny thing about Reportage, its blooming years ago and i genuinely doubt itll be what everyone seems to hope it is. Rejected for a reason? Of course we'll all buy it ( im on 8 versions of Danse Macabre) BUT consume it quickly and still expect more new music...thats who we are as fans I hope its not the last thing the band do / release but as they ( and we) get older their enthusiasm and ideas must be harder to produce in a regular cycle. I hope we get to see Andy on stage with them at some point and ( personal view) i hope him and Nick can let the past just be that....none of them have had bad careers and getting too old to hold bad feelings

Honestly I think it's certain fans that are hanging on to the idea bad feelings between Nick and Andy. When's the last time that you read anything from either Nick or Andy where they bad mouthed each other? Some Duranies project way too much and way too often.

The Kafe's used to be really good. They were basically the main selling point for membership for me and I used to enjoy listening to them on my way to work. Most kafe's would go for 30 minutes and almost always featured discussions about upcoming albums and projects with information that wasn't disclosed or discussed anywhere else and they always ended with questions from fans (which usually featured at least a couple of good/interesting questions).
Nowadays you're lucky to get Simon for more than 10 minutes and Katy's questions are predetermined so there's no flow of conversation and often sounds like she's not even listening to the band and instead going off on tangents of her opinion or some story about herself. The band members sound totally disinterested in doing the kafe's at all (except Nick). I can't even remember the last time they did feature questions from fans but i dare say it was before Future Past (or maybe just after).
The conversations used to be more fluid like a podcast format. Now it just sounds like two people reluctantly staging a conversation in a way that isn't genuine and more or less for show. It's kinda sad. Maybe it's time to retire the kafe if they're not feeling it anymore. I let my membership lapse this year because I no longer enjoyed listening to them.
You'd have better luck finding more details on Reportage or future projects in the next issue of Classic Pop.

I am aware that I may be alone with this opinion, but this is a forum to share ideas and opinions about my favourite band, so I'll go anyway.
I am not interested now in a release of Reportage. The album was developed quiet 20 years ago, and lived a very troubled conception, so I am not expecting a product full of great music. I expect some good ideas here and there, but not a great album.
In fact I never assumed that Sony was wrong to reject it - I consider it was wrong for the record company to suggest to the band to work with some then-hype producers as a condition to release a new album.
Would I like to hear again Andy's guitar and songwriting in DD songs? Of course yes. But I am more interested in what Andy has to say now as a musician instead than his work dated 20 years ago, in a complete different context of the band respect to now. Indeed in 2005-2006 times were not great personally for Andy and his musical relationship with Nick was at the lowest point. I am not so interested to hear the musical result of that situation now.
The above said, if Reportage gets finally released I'll listen to it for sure; only I have no enthusiasm for this news.

There will be a few gems no matter what... My question now is what about the 2 singles Roger promised that were in the vault from the 80's..Will we ever hear those? Are they waiting until the summer for Latitude? I hope we get to hear these songs or just another promise and nothing at the end?
