Is anyone else here irked that when a band releases a new single, they only do it digitally? Yeah, sure, a digital single is quick and easy to get, but what about having and holding an actual physical release of the product? Does anyone else miss this? I mean, albums are still getting released as CDs, blu-ray and vinyl (it ain't dead yet!), but why no love towards a single? I do realized times have changed, but it can't have changed THAT much. For example, I'll use one of the bands I like to illustrate my point. The Pet Shop boys released their album "Nonetheless" in April of this year. So far, there have been FOUR singles released from this album and there is a FIFTH one on the way - all of which have been released on CD. It's a shame they haven't done 12" singles as well, but at least they're still putting out a CD single. Thoughts?

I’d still buy a CD single, but those are definitely out. So yes I miss them.
