I see "Evil Woman" is now up to #49 on the U.S. Mediabase Hot AC chart, up 51 spins to 99 for this past week. It's their biggest Hot AC radio hit since "ANNIVERSARY" got to #33 in November, 2021. They need more stations spinning this song!

It’s sad, Duran’s “ Evil Woman “ is outstanding, but in the New Orleans area I don’t know of a radio station that has a format in which it would be played.
I would love a station that focuses on 80’s music but also plays new releases from those artists.

Apart from BBC Radio 2 is there any station in the world that mixes current pop with new music from more mature artists?? Isn’t it the number 1 station in the UK? Why don’t other countries follow this format? There’s obviously an audience for it!

They could have the perfect song and it's crickets with any of these areas.. I can see the next album if they have great one and if they don't have multiple formats like the Cures album ..they won't go far anymore! Cure doesn't have 1 friendly radio song on their new album and they managed to go #1 on UK charts and #4 on BB USA and #1 on Vinyl and album sales! With very little promotion..yes it's a new album that took forever to come out..To me that's a shame with the DD machine as it seems it's not what it used to be, band don't care and only care about live performances, or things are going to be ending soon ie semi retirement.... BMG has done nothing for DD especially in the US!

New Duran songs are dead on arrival here on Los Angeles radio stations. The last time I heard any new song was "AYNIN" but that was because Duran played an acoustic performance of it. Even with "PG" being a Top 10 album, radio stations here didn't play "Pressure Off". We used to have Star 98.7 who were Duran-Friendly but that all ended years ago when they played "FD" in 2007. We don't have the independent radio station's like other Cities in America. I remember hearing Simon on L.A. radio in 2021 hoping the DJ would play "Invisible" but she just played a short "HLTW" intro. Duran can sure sell out arenas & casinos in California but they don't get airplay on most radio stations as they should.

Radio unfortunately sucks anymore. There are at least a few indie radio stations that might play it if they appreciate 80's era bands. More productive to get attention via Spotify playlists etc. I'm not really that excited for DD to have a hit with a cover song though any attention is good. Their original work over past 15 years has been stellar IMO. They promote by playing a few new songs on tour.

Both were on heavy rotation...I don't get how some songs are pushed on Sirius and crickets for others? Is this on BMG? Mgmt? PR? Even my local radio station 96.3 WDVD which NEVER plays new Duran had Anniversary on their high rotation! So it does happen just don't understand why sometimes it does and more times not? U2 is U2 but Atomic City was everywhere on the PULSE Sirius, my local radio stations and it seems that helped their Airplay and Radio AC rankings when many stations were spinning this song! Black Moonlight to me is a better song and it was NOWHERE! I mentioned an Italian radio showing literally spinning Atomic City like a thousand times a month! YES it was like a thousand times!! So,something just doesn't jive with this? Not just in USA but all over the world!!!! DD has always been a singles band and even now with ageism, I don't get why some bands and artists who are older can get more spins on Radio AC but not DD? WHY??? That is my point...

In Australia, I haven’t heard a dd single played on moderate rotation airplay (let alone high) since Sunrise way back in 2004 & Unfortunately I haven’t heard any single since that ! interestingly, it was a ‘Sony’ release with the 5 original members
