Ah, yes - the perks of being a parent. I will never forget the day my toddler was perched up on my shoulders, over my head, when all of a sudden he threw up. It was all over my head - even got in my ears. Blah...

***hands ivy some clean towels***
I know how you feel. Everytime my kids have a virus involving vomit, I'm always their favorite target.

The only puke/throw up I ever got was when my girls were babies under age one.
I learned to teach them as toddlers to get to the toilet FAST. It worked.
Its horrible that a child has to suffer migraines

Yeah, I feel really bad for him. As it turns out, it's not just the headache. He fell asleep when we got home and woke up with a 101.5 fever. The children's aspirin brought his fever down and he's doing much better now. We'll have to see how he is in the morning. I really want him in school tomorrow because I'm pulling him out on Friday to go away for the weekend.

All of those with kids know what I'm talking about. We were at a cub scout event today at a bakery where the Den was learning how to make cookies. Alec came down with one of his migraines and started to retch. I put my hand under his mouth and ran him to the bathroom just in time, but I got a handful before he reached the toilet. Parenting is fun, isn't it. Oh poor kid! Migraines suck bigtime. I can't even imagine going thru them as a kid. *gentle hugs for your little man* I know something is making the rounds in my area. Needless to say, Carmen caught it, Mike caught it and now I'm getting it! AARRRGGHHH! I tell ya, as bad as I feel right now, I can't even imagine how cruddy the kids felt. Mike is still sick. Both of us have had nasty fevers for a few days now.

Thanks all. He's feeling much better. I kept him home today and he is still running a slight fever, but he should be back at school tomorrow.

I hate hearing stories like this, LOL!! My daughter is only 10 months old, so she hasn't gotten to the "adult like vomit" stage yet. I have serious vomitphobia and have no idea what I'll do when/if it happens to me. Baby spit up doesn't bother me, it's when it gets like an adult that bothers me. My husband and I made a pact before she was born....I'll handle the waist down (I handle poop much better than vomit) and he'll handle the waist up (he can't do poop). So far, I'm living up to my end of the baragin....knowing my luck, he won't be around for the "waist up" part!!
