itunes question

I got an ipod nano for Christmas and I still can't get the program you download from itunes to work on my computer. I get it downloaded but I can't open it. All it says is error. While I am downloading it the pop-up screen says "unable to locate site". Any ideas as to what I can do to get the program working. Luckily for me I know someone who has a laptop but I only have 32 songs on it right now and I would like some more.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Mac so it came with it. Not sure why it's not working for you. I am not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to computers so... I wish you luck and hope someone who knows something can help you.

Have you tried uninstalling iTunes and the iPod software then reinstalling it?

Also, depending on your operating system, say if it's an older version of Windows or Mac, you may need an older version of the software to operate your iPod.
