A Charlie Brown Christmas never fails to bring a tear to my eye every time Linus takes the stage.
Close runners - up are the Rankin/Bass Christmas specials: Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (I'm moved to tears when they get married!) The Year Without A Santa Claus, Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer and Rudolph's Shiny New Year.

I'm a big fan of "Holiday Inn", the Bing Crosby/Fred Astaire movie in which the song "White Christmas" debuted. It has a lot of genuine charm, it's more low-key than the splashier "White Christmas", and you haven't lived until you've seen the Lincoln's Birthday musical number "Abraham". Lots of great musical numbers and of course, great singing and dancing.
I also like "It's a Wonderful Life", but it's a rather long and in places a pretty depressing movie! It used to be a big joke how ubiquitous that movie was on TV, but since they've scaled back how many times they show it that honor has since gone to "A Christmas Story", which I also like. I remember seeing that movie in the theater; it wasn't considered a hit at the time, and only became huge after TNT started showing it in marathons.
Oh! And "Meet Me in St. Louis". And the Alistair Sim version of "A Christmas Carol".

I love Christmas movies/specials. My favorites are:
It's A Wonderful Life A Christmas Story Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer/Year Without Santa/Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and all the Rankin Bass shows Santa Clause The Polar Express Miracle on 34th Street (the original) Suzy Snowflakes/Hardrock Coco and Joe. This are hard to describe except to compare them to videos. Every Christmas Eve for the last several years they've run a special on WGN TV (Chicago station that can be found on cable). I like the animated Grinch, but the live action version is ok.

Tin, I love Emett Otter's Jugband Christmas! It is a must see every year.
One of my fave Christmas movies/shows is "The House Without a Christmas Tree". It was shown yearly on tv back in the 70s. Jason Robards was the dad in it. Love Rudolph and Charlie Brown and all of the specials from when I was a kid.

I will always love Christmas Story b/c I was practically in the movie. My family and I went downtown when they were filming the scenes in front of Higbee's. Since my parents grew up in the 40s, my sister and brother and law dressed up in period costumes trying to get on as extras. They didn't but we had a blast. I was about 11 then and I could not dress b/c it was January and I was wearing the then-fashionable moon boots. Remember those??
One holiday show that I love not mentioned here is Ziggy's Gift. It melts your heart.
