Sort of off-topic...but not really. I'm Canadian, but will be in the city of Las Vegas on Friday. I plan to shop till I drop anyway...but this Black Friday sounds interesting. Should I expect any sales / deals in Vegas?? Violet Orchid

Violetorchild - I'm not a Vegas local but I spend a lot of vacation time (and money..lol.) there..... If you are staying on the strip, check out the Fashion Show Mall. The mall is a little high end but if the Nieman Marcus or Macys have black friday sales they wil be at the mall as well. Here's a linky dinky ... www.thefashionshow.com/html/index15.aspI know Target is having a black friday sale, you will have to take a taxi or your own transporation to get there, the store is a few miles off the strip (on Maryland Parkway, from Flamingo Blvd. If I remember correctly.) The best suggestion I have for you if you are in Vegas the day before thanksgiving, be sure to pick up a newspaper for the Black Friday ads. Have fun!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. I am sure that the airport will have lots of newspapers (with flyers) available. I found that fashion mall on Mapquest. I have not been to Vegas since 1978...and this time I can go to more than just Circus Circus!!! We have snow here in Edmonton, so I'm also looking forward to the warm desert climate.

No way in H*ell! I decided long ago to make as many gifts as i can. I make organic chocolate truffles, which people now count on for gifts. I also make lots of other cool things. It really keeps me in an old fashioned spirit and the commercialism doesn't get to me so much anymore. I wind up buying toys (like Legos) for my son back in August so there is no pressure. I usually go to the stores for one day, just for stocking stuffers, and that will very often get me down. People just aren't cheerful, they are miserable, and that seems so against the point.

I asked my mom if she wanted to go and she basically told me to Go To Hell. I guess I'm not going!

I do most of my holiday shopping on amazon, but I'm kind of tempted to drop by Best Buy on Friday. They have a cheap camera I'm interested in, and some really cheap DVD box sets.
Of course, I'll be visiting my mom in Denver for the first time ever, so I'd have to be able to find the Best Buy first. And be able to walk to it. Okay, never mind!
