Please vote in this poll only if you are a Republican (all 3 of us) or Independent.

it just baffles me that giuliani is egotistical and delusional enough to think he'd should be president of this country. he was a major f___-up in new york as mayor, apart from maybe reducing crime in some areas. (btw, i didn't vote, as i'm not a republican).

Here's my write in vote for the Republican party... He shouldn't have too much difficulty carrying on the grand tradition of the nefarious dou chebags Republicans put in office this past time around. Plus: Sweet beard.

I think the R's need to completely shitcan their current roster of candidates, and seriously consider someone with more compassion, intelligence and all-around humanity than any currently on offer. This guy would be perfect: PALPATINE/VADER '08!

Just wanted to add: Vader's entitled to a shot at the VP position, in light of all the hurtful comparisons to Deadeye Richard he's endured over the years. Can't you see the hurt in his eyes?

"apart from maybe reducing crime in some areas" . . .
Oh my dear Mondaybox, you are a great guy, but from the sounds of it you have no idea what bad shape NYC was in before Giuliani took office. Squeegee men on every corner, lots of grafitti . . . it was a much scarier place than it is now. Remember, there's a REASON that Giuliani was elected, and then re-elected in a landslide, in an overwhelmingly Democratic city. That alone puts the lie to your claim that he was a "major fcuk up" as NYC mayor, except for maybe having a puny effect on crime (clearly not true -- just look at the statistics). Does his track record qualify him to be president? I'm not sure about that, but I do know that he was a much better mayor than you make him out to be.
(Edited to delete snarky comment because it really wasn't necessary.)

I hate the current Republican government, but I do agree with you vsb about Giuliani. He really did make NYC a better place in which to live and visit.
As for the poll above that I, as a Democrat can't take - I really do like Ron Paul. Of course, his campaign will never see the light of day.
