A couple days ago, was about to take a shower after my workout and the strangest thing happened to me. My calico-cat named Taffy was in the bathroom, but I though nothing of it until I hopped in the shower. All of a sudden, I heard a panic-sounding "meow-meow" so I immediately peaked out from the shower curtain to see Taffy looking at me while giving out a frightened-sounding meow-meow. She kept this up until I was finished with my shower then she calmed down and I still have no clue why she freaked-out. My question is has anyone ever gone through a situation similar to this one?

My cat always makes that noise when he gets wet. He's afraid of being splashed. It's possible that's what happened to your cat.

My cat is weird.. He doesn't care if he gets wet.. As long he isn't in the water itself.. You can pour water on him.. Pat him with wets hands..
Maybe he was worried something happened to you, because he'she couldn't see you.. Was this the first it was in the bathroom while you showered??

Yes it was the first time Taffy was in the room so I am beginning to wonder if she was worrying about her mommy being in the shower.

Somewhere, in someone's dictionary the word "cat" means crazy or weird. It's the nature of the beast. My Boo does all sorts of weird things. The vocalizing thing she does is way weird b/c she is normally so quiet. She'll be out of sight and start this wailing. I think it's an attention thing. I have to call her name until either I forget to anymore or she comes running.
Like I said, weird, thy name is cat.

Paula Poundstone used to do a bit in her act about her cats throwing themselves against the bathroom door while she showered. Her contention was that they were trying to rescue her from the horrors of the shower.
