www.usatoday.com/life/people/2007-01-29-brandy_x.htm?csp=34Singer/actress Brandy Norwood might face manslaughter charges after being involved in a fatal car crash last month. In a report sent to the Los Angeles city attorney's office, the California Highway Patrol recommended Monday that Brandy be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter. "The office is currently reviewing the case and determining whether the evidence warrants the filing of a misdemeanor charge of vehicular manslaughter," says Nick Velasquez, spokesman for the city attorney's office. The charge carries a maximum fine of $1,000 and one year in jail. Velasquez did not say when a decision on charging Brandy was expected. The singer, 27, was driving a Land Rover on a highway Dec. 30 when traffic slowed and she struck the back of a Honda, which slid sideways and was hit by another vehicle. The Honda's driver, a woman named Awatef Aboudihaj, died a day later as a result of blunt force trauma. Brandy has issued a public statement expressing condolences to the woman's family.

I think she should face charges. I'm tired of fame excusing celebs of wrong doings. The accident was an at fault, and she should be held responsible.
