@ Abstract Unknown Girl - Only a Manics fan could have such a fantastic Username.. I was going to say The Holy Bible too, but you beat me to it. Have you heard the American remix of that album? It was part of the 10th anniversary of the album? Anyhoo, hello from Edinburgh..

David Sylvian- Secrets of the Beehive Miles Davis- Kind of Blue Portishead-Dummy Love every one of those, but Kind of Blue is definitely one of my absolute favorites. I know people consider it trite since it's such a popular title with people who own very little jazz, but I don't care. I like plenty of other Miles Davis as well - the mid-60's quintet was fantastic - but Kind of Blue is the one I always go back to. Have you heard Cannonball Adderley's Somethin' Else? It's essentially a companion piece to Miles' album. It was recorded during the same era, features many of the same players (including Miles) and evokes the same sort of mood as Kind of Blue.

'Revolver' is top of the list and will be until the day I die, I'm sure. The three that are absolutely indispensible to me at the moment are:
Talk Talk--'Spirit Of Eden' Kinks--'Village Green Pres. Soc.' The The--'Naked Self'

Top 3 of all time? The album that made me a die-hard Depeche Mode fan. Still gives me goosebumps when I listen to it. Their most timeless work IMO. Hold Back the Rain and Lonely In Your Nightmare are classics Marc Almond is one of the most underrated songwriters ever. Lyrically and musically this album is phenominal. It didn't leave my CD player for nearly 2 years and I still enjoy listening to it.
