I wonder if 911 isn't available in that area?? Graphic>>>>I also miscarried at 3 months. I bled so bad that the entire car interior was soaked and passed out as soon as we entered the parking lot. That can be a dire situation. I'm wondering why EMS wasn't called as well. It seems many mistakes were made in that situation. I think everyone shares some blame. Ok just reread, she didn't steal the car, just the tag. The article also stated: >>>she has outstanding city warrants for mistreatment of children<<< Seems maybe someone else also needs to be tortured bad.

I just saw this on the news.
I wonder how much of the reaction was provoked by these Justin Beiber Fan cops because the woman was Sudanese...and not American.
I saw some of the tape...the woman cop just kept saying "yeah...it's a menstral cycle...I'm a woman, too."
Shameful.

Kansas City cops are power crazed Justin Beiber Fans, it's like a job requirement or something. Sure, this city's pretty f___ed up & they have to deal with alot of shit, but regardless of what they had on this woman, they should have gotten her medical attention first, then dealt with the charges afterward.

Well, that's just horrible in more than one way. I also think the ethnicity has something to do with the cops actions. Ugh. This should be under the "Why other countries hate America" thread.

The KC Star reported yesterday that the cops have been suspended. It didn't say whether it was with or without pay.

Sick. That reminds me of a recent cop story. A woman got raped. They pulled HER in (yes you read right). She had a warrant for her arrest. Then people wonder why people don't always trust cops. Sure most are good. However, there are many bad ones.

The KC Star reported yesterday that the cops have been suspended. It didn't say whether it was with or without pay. 1) Suspension isn't enough 2) it better be without pay 3) when are they being criminally charged with something? They didn't say. I think it was more of a "Look, we're doing something so everyone shut up" sort of move.

I don't believe they should be on paid leave. They should be fired. They should also be charged with a crime. Nothing will probably happen to them. There's this attitude of a cop is above the law. This is why some cops do things like this.

it wouldn't have hurt them to take her to the hospital. They knew where she was and could have arrested her later.
this caught my eye too "outstanding city warrants for mistreatment of children," I think it's better that child didn't live anyway. I doubt anything would have changed had she gotten to the hospital.
and why did she stop when the cops stopped her. if it was that much of an emergency I would have kept going and dealt with it later.
there are too many variables.

OK, after reading this, I am wondering something. First of all, let me say that it was horrible, she should have been taken to the hospital, then arrested if need be. The cops were definitely in the wrong, extremely insensitive, deserve to be fired etc.
BUT - if she was 3-4 months pregnant and having a miscarriage, it would have happened with or without the arrest and ensuing mayhem. If memory serves, a pregnancy has to be at least 22 weeks (?) for the baby to have a chance - somebody correct me if that's wrong.
