I've been following the weather since last night. We had driving rain, gusty winds but, with the exception of a tree coming down in our front pasture, survived the night. It was reported that 500 homes were damaged in our town but it's nothing like the devastation in Volusia and Lake counties.

How far is this from Miami? Coupla hours north/northwest? Correct me here, if I am wrong..... The stormy season starts here at the end of March. And I just hate it.....I'm terrified of storms....... |

The tornado hit just two miles away from me in a small town called Lady Lake/The Villages and it went on across the central part of the state through Deland and on through to New Smyrna Beach. My daughters didn't have school today due to the roads being so bad. It was the only school in Lake county that was closed. My brother in-law's parent's house was demolished.
We were blessed, it was real close.
