First Synth Dear Katy, this is a question for Nick. Me and my friend Kalen and having a bit of a falling out over when you got your first synthesizer. I said that it was when you were 10 like you said in the Live from London documentary, and she says 17 like in Sing Blue Silver. Could you please help us settle our difference? Thanks so much. Samantha
"Sure, you're both wrong! I got my first synth when I was 16 years old. It was called The Wasp. Sadly, I no longer have that particular instrument, however I did re-buy the same model some years back. NR"

Well you were both wrong but why did Nick give two and now three different ages? Weird!

drugs and old age... He was 17, except he was not 17 - he was 16 and wanted to give the impresson he was older 'cause you know, that one year difference thing really counts -pffff
as for the interview on live from london that was an editing glitch. He was saying that when he was ten the first synths were coming out and his dad wouldn't buy one. He got a guitar instead.
no that isnt right. When he was 10 Synths were becoming popular in music...wait how old is he?
maybe he wanted to confuse people that he is younger now than he was 10 years ago.
sure, that's it.

Well you know, it probably confuses Nick to reckon in earth years instead of the time measurement used on his home planet. If we were reckoning by alien years, he wouldn't have this problem! ;D

Part of the Duran mystique I guess... never give a straight answer.
