This week the TV show America's Most Wanted was in Austin filming for a segment on teen dating violence this week. One of the stories they will talk about will be about a student at Reagan High School (my old high school) who was stabbed on campus by an ex-boyfriend a few years back.
Man, things have changed at my old high school since the '80s.

You went to Reagan in the 80's? Any chance you knew Colette or Brian Duciaume? I know it's a big school, just Biram is my best friend, Colette's his sister, and I've known them for ages.
It was cool seeing Austin on AMW though. It's been since Rita since I've been back and I really miss the place.

I was at Reagan from the fall of 1986 to the spring of 1990. Brian Duciaume does sound familiar.

BY the time my brother went to my high school, he had a gun pulled on him in class. Things do change. This would be at Van Horn? My sister and I had a knife pulled on us at Southwest. I don't think the kid was serious about it, I just ignored him. My sister was a little freaked though. |

Its so sad to hear things going on like this in schools.
My daughters elementary school there was a child who bought in a knife another a bebe gun. Both said they wanted to hurt the person who upset them. (I was on the board that is how I found out).
