So, we've reached the "T-Ball benchmark" in our house.
My 5 1/2 year old signs up for T-Ball tonight.
I can tell he's a bit nervous. He said this morning in a hesitant voice.... "so, I'll be on an actual TEAM Mom?"
That passed and his main concern then was "Can I be the batter?"
Should be interesting anyway! I'm feeling a bit sentimental about this whole thing. I keep saying...."but he's still a baby!!!!"
My 2 1/2 year old keeps saying he wants to sign up too. NO hesitation whatsoever!!!
Anyone else with first T-Ball team experiences/stories?

I have a love-hate relationship with major changes/milestones in my kids. Ya know, this growing up shit has gotta stop!

We just signed up too. Alec hasn't said anything about being nervous, but I don't think he really knows what it all means yet. I'm looking forward to him being on a team and all that entails.

Carina I agree!! I'm wondering if it will be worse once my youngest hits these milestones! Aren't they supposed to stay little forever?

My 11-year old son came home from school yesterday and wanted to talk with me about his 'family life' class. They learned about (and I quote him) "man parts" and he had some questions. He then told me he wanted to ask his dad instead since I'm a girl... He is growing up and I can't do anything about it...

I'm wondering if it will be worse once my youngest hits these milestones! It is for me. So much so that, for a few weeks, my husband and I were contemplating having another child. Then, we realized we were totally insane for even thinking that, and we shouldn't breed anymore because of it.

Aww, they will ALWAYS be your babies, Tina! No matter how big and smelly they get.

Funny Carina! The thought everso BRIEFLY (like for a millisecond or less) crossed our minds as well, then we slapped ourselves & agreed that we were insane with just the two!
Also, three college funds can get awfully expensive!!
Jai, I get the smell stuff! ;D
